Tiga radio komunitas di lingkar Gunungapi Merapi di Jawa Tengah, Indonesia membentuk jaringan komunikasi untuk pengurangan risiko bencana erupsi. Bekerjasama dengan COMBINE Resource Institution, jaringan ini memanfaatkan beragam media dan teknologi informasi untuk menyebarluaskan kabar penting dari, oleh, dan untuk masyarakat di sekitar Merapi. Program ini sudah berjalan sejak peristiwa erupsi pada tahun 2006. Pada masa aktif normal, sistem informasi ini bisa digunakan untuk mendukung pengelolaan informasi tentang sumber daya kawasan perdesaan di lereng Merapi.
